The American Institute for Foreign Study (Australia) Pty Ltd opened its Australian office in 1999 and began offering its Camp America and Au Pair in America programs to young Australians. In 2005, AIFS commenced offering inbound programs and currently facilitates cultural exchange programs for more than 2,000 young people.

I have not worked in childcare, can I work at a summer camp in the USA with Camp America?

You do not need formal childcare experience however we will want to see some experience caring for children. This may be coaching a soccer team, tutoring, or babysitting or even acting as a mentor at your school.

Childcare comes in many forms so think about your experience. If you are unsure remember you can always give us a call to discuss.
